Cultural Activities

Santa Sabina has an active choir who regularly bring joy to the whole school community with recitals, Friday lunchtime sessions and religious services.  Musicals and variety shows have been a regular feature of school life for over 25 years.

Visits to the theatre such as The Abbey and The Helix at DCU are organised to enhance students’ understanding of literature and drama, especially where it relates to specific plays on the Junior and Leaving Certificate courses. The school often joins forces with the neighbouring boys’ school St Fintan’s on theatre productions.

Art students experience many excursions each year to such locations as the Hugh Lane Gallery, The National Gallery of Art, Imma in the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham and the National Museum in Collins Barracks. Specific events such as the annual ‘Sculpture in Context’ exhibition at the Botanic Gardens are also included.

Seomra na Gaeilge

The school Cinnirí na Gaeilge are present sa Leabharlann every Friday ag am lóin.  Fáilte roimh gach duine chun cúpla focal a chleachtadh.  Bíonn craic agus ceol ann.
