The Class of 2010 End of Year Celebrations

A number of special events took place at the end of May in honour of Santa Sabina’s Class of 2010.

A beautiful Mass, on the theme of Friendship, took place in St Fintan’s Parish Church in Sutton on Thursday 20th May. The Mass was attended by staff, students and parents and was celebrated by Fr Kevin Bartley. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this special occasion, in particular the RE Department and our Special Choir, Canteremo, under the direction of Ms Anna Heffernan.

The Annual Sixth Years v Staff Rounders Match took place on the afternoon of Friday 21st. This was the first year in which the Rounders match was played on our fantastic new AstroTurf Pitch. Needless-to-say it was a particularly “sporting” occasion and an exciting match was closely fought amidst lots of fun and laughs! The whole school community thoroughly enjoyed themselves on what was a beautiful sunny afternoon.

The Sixth Years formally said their good byes to the school community in Santa Sabina during a special Graduation Ceremony, attended by the whole school, on the morning of Monday 24th May, together with the Sixth Year Prize Giving Ceremony which took place on the evening of Tuesday 25th. These were both very lovely and memorable occasions, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2010.

Thank you to the Sixth Years and the parents who provided a beautiful lunch for the staff in gratitude for all their dedication and support during the girls’ time in Santa Sabina. Your kindness was very much appreciated by everyone.

Our Sixth Year students were truly a fantastic group of girls! Thank you for contributing so much to Santa Sabina. We shall miss you all and wish you well for the future.
