| A Christmas Message from Our Principal |
Dear Parents/Guardians
The school year started on 28th August and it has been non-stop activities and events since then. You can read all about them in this website news link. Well done to all those who have participated or made these events possible. If you have not got involved yet there is still time. School is more than academic subjects, it is about getting involved in all aspects of school life.
We started the year with fewer teachers and I would like to wish Mr Dermot Quish and Ms Rachel Tubridy every happiness in their retirement.
The school asto-turf opened for business in mid-October and it is a wonderful sight to see the students and the local community enjoying this wonderful facility.
Another high point for the school this year was the visit of two teachers from Masangola, Malawi. Their visit was hugely informative and very enjoyable. Ms Murray and Ms Bradshaw will be going to visit their school in Malawi in the New Year.
I would like to thank all those who paid the subject money and made a voluntary contribution. As a result we have been able to supplement the Department of Education and Science financial allocation to Santa Sabina. The money has been used to employ extra teachers and help pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the school.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
Best wishes
Catherine Cavanagh Principal.
