| Santa Sabina, Dominican College has been an active member of the Dublin Secondary Schoolgirls’ Choir and Dublin Secondary Schoolgirls’ Orchestra for over 15 years. Musicals and variety shows have been a regular feature of school life for over 25 years. |
| Visits to the theatre such as The Abbey and The Helix at DCU are organised to enhance students’ understanding of literature and drama, especially where it relates to specific plays on the Junior and Leaving Certificate courses. The school often joins forces with the neighbouring boys’ school St Fintan’s on theatre productions. |
| Art students experience many excursions each year to such locations as the Hugh Lane Gallery, The National Gallery of Art, IMMA in the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham and the National Museum in Collins Barracks. Specific events such as the annual ‘Sculpture in Context’ exhibition at the Botanic Gardens are also included. |
| Debating and Public Speaking |
| Debating and Public Speaking is offered to all senior students who are encouraged to participate in debating competitions which promote social awareness such as The Concern Debates. Junior cycle students participate in class and inter-class debates. |
