First Year History Trip to Ferrycarraig in Wexford
|
The First Year students recently visited Ferrycarraig, The National Heritage Centre in Co Wexford.
The trip was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to view recreations of dwellings from the Mesolithic Period, through to the Viking and Early Norman periods. The students were given a guided tour during which they experienced at close hand the houses, crafts and religion of people from the past.
Our visitors from our link school in Malawi accompanied us on the day and they, along with the First Year girls, really enjoyed the opportunity to view our ancient heritage.
