Congratulations to all Transition Year Bronze Gaisce recipients who received their highly coveted awards at a special end of year school assembly. This year saw the highest percentage of any TY group to complete the Bronze Award. Hopefully this will spur the Award Winners on to tackle the year long adventure to attain their Silver Award.
Pictured are the Fifth Year students who are in the process of completing their Silver Award. They are on their compulsory 50km hike including two overnight stays on the Wicklow Way. The girls had fantastic fun completing this onerous task. They were ably led and assisted by Mr Runswick, an experienced Scout Master and father of one of the hikers. We would like to thank him for his support and expertise, as without him, the whole experience would not have been so rewarding, safe and indeed, so enjoyable.
You can be sure that the remaining elements of the award will pose their own challenges but will be nonetheless satisfying on their completion.
