First Year History Project

The classes of 1O and 1E have been learning about the medieval period in History and about the castles from that time. As part of their studies the students made models of medieval stone castles. Under the guidance of their teacher Ms O’Hara, they made the castles using a variety of materials such as paint, cardboard, paper, clay, papier-mâché and tinfoil. As a result the girls have a better understanding of medieval castles and their characteristics such as the keep, the curtain walls, the moat, drawbridge and portcullis.

The girls received widespread praise for their fantastic work which was displayed in the school canteen and thoroughly enjoyed the project. Well done to everyone.
