Tuesday 3rd February - 4th year at 4.15 - 6.45 | | | | | | Green School | | | The Green Team is at full throttle this year. The girls have been working very hard monitoring litter in a 'Smiley Tidy Classromm' campaign, encouraging whole school involvement, working on codes of practice and developing ideas for our ACTION DAY. We already have a number of recycling facilities in place abd our aim is to educate and encourage the whole school community to adopt good practice in relation to all enviromental issues. All going well, we expect to achieve our 1st Green Flag in September '09.

| | | | | | 4th Year/Transition Foreign Trip and Activities | | | The 4th Year Foreign Trip will take place from 25th - 29th February, when they will travel to Paris in France.
Those students not travelling will attend Special Activities such as Aromatherapy, Colour Me Beautiful, Making your own Video. | | | | Spring Fair | | | The Spring Fair will be held on Sunday April 26th from 1-4pm.
This fair is to create awareness of issues affecting developing countries and the world of Trocaire. Students work will be on display. The aim of this fair is to raise money for Trocaire. Food and drinks will be available as well as activities which will be organised by the pupils themselves. All students, their families and the local community are welcome. |

| | | | | | Astro-Turf Pitch | | | Fund raising for an Astro-Turf surface has been launched and many events are being organised. We have received planning permission for this project and it is intended that construction will commence in March 2009.
The surface will be sand based and multi-purpose where it can be used for hockey, soccer, tennis and many other sports. The area will have flood lights and surrounding fencing.
This project should be completed and ready to play on, by September 2009 |
