On the 5th October all of our 5th year students enjoyed a presentation from the Educational Officer for BodyWhys on eating disorders. This presentation focussed attention on body image, self esteem, anorexia and Bulemia. The girls had an audio / Powerpoint presentation followed by an interactive workshop where they got to question and address any issues they had around this topic.

On the 14th November all of our 1st year students took part in a workshop on cyberbullying. The presentation was given by BUZZWORX Theatre Company. The group explored the role of the internet, mobile phone and social networking sites such as Bebo, Facebook, and YouTube and the role they play in the lives of today’s youth. Their main aim was to raise awareness amongst young people about cyberbullying and its effects. Throughout the performance they illustrated the many dangers associated with the internet and also the positive experiences that can be enjoyed when it is used correctly. It proved to be an energetic, informative and interactive programme. A great day was had by all!
