| | | Lots of fun filled activities are planned for various locations around the school grounds. Our fantastic new state-of-the-art Sports Hall, An Spórtlann, will be open to all. There will be numerous stalls inside, displaying various purchasable goods including books, CDs, DVDs, games, toys, teddies, handbags, jewellery and general bric-a-brac. Our students have also organised several games for the enjoyment of our visitors, including a spectacular performance by the gymnasts from Bayside Gymnastics.
An assortment of refreshments will be provided in the main school building including tea, coffee, soft drinks and smoothies, as well as delicious freshly made pancakes.
Our special guest, Mr Dermot Quish, will host an Art Auction at 1pm, which will boast original art works created by many of our own students and their very talented relatives. The auction is always great fun and no doubt there will be lots of excitement with the bidding!
Outside, we aim to have a number of activities for children and adults alike in what we hope will be sizzling sunshine. Face painting, tug-o-war and plants for sale should contribute to the atmosphere of fun and relaxation. A bouncy castle and 55ft obstacle course have been kindly donated for the morning by Mr Derek Doyle. A giant cake sale should satisfy the sweet tooth and our BBQ will complete the range of sensory delights. Thank you to Mr Ray Collier, who has generously donated the meat for the BBQ. This was memorable in being particularly delicious last year.
Sincere thanks to all those who have offered to help on the day and also to the staff, students and parents who have to date contributed generously to this year’s Fair. A wonderful event has been planned in aid of a very worthy cause and we hope to surpass last year’s total of €8,000 for Trócaire.
We in Santa Sabina are very much looking forward to seeing you at our Spring Fair on Sunday 25th April. Everyone is very welcome!
