| | | | | The Spring Fair 2012
| | | The Spring Fair, in aid of Trócaire, was held in the school grounds on Sunday March 25th. It was a fantastic day as families gathered in the school grounds to enjoy food, fun and games and were blessed with sunshine which added to the excitement and ambience. Many thanks for the great turnout. The day’s success was largely due to the students who volunteered on the day making food, selling items and really giving their time and effort in the spirit of community for such a good cause.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed through preparation or helping out on the day. Special thanks to Ray Collier for supplying our BBQ and the Wheeler family for running the BBQ, Dermot Quish who returned to the school for the Art Auction, and Whackers Pet Shop for supplying the fish for the win a fish game! Also, many thanks to Signs Express for the lovely banner.
We express our gratitude to all those who donated raffle prizes, art for the Art Auction and cakes and items for sale (books, toys etc) in our Sportlánn.
The event is really about celebrating community spirit within our school and the wider community. It is team work that ensures its vitality and success each year. It is also about standing in solidarity with the world’s poorest communities and all of our students have learned much this year about Trócaire’s Lenten focus country – Uganda.
We are delighted to tell you that this year we raised €6387 for Trócaire. We are extremely proud of all our students enthusiastic participation and we are truly grateful for the support from the wider community!
Thank you!
