We were delighted to welcome Sarah-Lyn McKenna, Head of Education in LIFT Ireland, to Santa Sabina on Thursday 14th March, who awarded LIFT certificates to Transition and Sixth Year students. LIFT stands for Leading Ireland's Future Together, and the students all completed the LIFT Programme this year. In this they trained as facilitators, taking part in roundtable discussions on a range of leadership themes such as Listening, Respect, Positive Attitude, Resilience and Empathy. The initiative was led by Ms Foster and Ms Brangan, supported by TY Tutors Ms Foley, Ms Kavanagh and Mr O'Sullivan. Staff and students all considered the programme to be very rewarding and we hope to roll it out further next year with the help of our newly certified LIFT Facilitators. Thank you to Sarah-Lyn for her support and to all in Santa Sabina for their great work in introducing LIFT to the school this year.
