Well done to our students who took part in the North Leinster Athletics Championships on Monday 28th April at Morton Stadium, Santry, representing the school exceptionally well in highly competitive events.
Our medal winners, qualifying for the Leinster Championships, were Aoife Ferguson (gold / high jump), Lauren Ferguson (gold / 2000m speed walking), Sophie Ferguson (gold / discus), Roisin Dorran (silver / 1500m steeplechase), Beth Reamsbottom (silver / 1500m), Carragh NigFhloinn (bronze / 1100m) and Meabh Mulvaney (bronze / 3000m). Excellent performances were also recorded by our senior athletes, including Ella McCann who made the final of the100m and Alex Keating who made the final of the 400m and got a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles.
Every member of our athletics team demonstrated excellent character, effort and commitment throughout a challenging day, some narrowly missing out on qualification and many recording a new personal best.
