This week our TYs took a trip to Dublin Zoo to learn all about conservation and how important it is to protect our planet. Each group took part in a one hour talk given by a designated Zoo Educator, who taught them about endangered species such as the bald ibis from Morocco and the orangutan from Borneo. The TYs were encouraged to do their part in looking after the planet through recycling, reducing their energy consumption and buying products that supported conservation so we can continue to protect the habitats of these precious species.
Students then had the opportunity to explore the Zoo visiting the African Planes, watching the sea lions play and hearing the interesting calls of the gibbons.
